Continuing Conversations on Antisemitism
Wednesday, February 9, 2022 • 8 Adar I 5782
7:30 PM - 9:00 PMAmidst rising antisemitism, many local communities are struggling with how to respond and determine what is actually antisemitism. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) penned a Working Definition of Antisemitism 14 years ago. In the US, the debate about the Definition is on-going with many American Jews unfamiliar with it yet. Congregation Or Atid has invited Rob Leikind, Director of American Jewish Committee (AJC) New England Region, to educate our community about the IHRA Working Definition: its history, its content and its possible applications. All the Children Are Home by Patry Francis Set in the late 1950s-1960s in a small town in Massachusetts, All the Children Are Home follows the Moscatelli family—Dahlia and Louie, foster parents, and their long-term foster children Jimmy, Zaidie, and Jon—and the irrevocable changes in their lives when a six-year-old indigenous girl, Agnes, comes to live with them. Heartfelt and enthralling, it’s a moving testament to the enduring power of love in the face of devastating loss. -
