Kick off the New Year with a live cooking demo with local chef and restaurateur Avi Shemtov of the Chubby Chickpea Food Truck, Hummus v'Hummus restaurants in Chestnut Hill and Sharon, and Simcha restaurant in Sharon! Chef Avi will take us on his journey from Turkey, to Israel, to the United States and demonstrate several recipes from his restaurants and cookbook, The Simcha Cookbook. Participants will enjoy a tasting of the food demonstrated by Avi in addition to other Mediterranean and Modern Israeli recipes prepared in the Or Atid kitchen from the cookbook. Avi will answer questions from the audience, followed by a book signing for those who wish to purchase his cookbook.
