Join us in the Sukkah at Or Atid on Sunday morning, October 1st at 10:30 am and enjoy challah and honey, warm apple cider, pumpkin treats, and apple cider donuts! It's a great opportunity for women of Or Atid and B'nai Torah Metrowest to meet. Join with Yoni Kadden, of Gann Academy, and Jonathan Golden, of the Shalom Hartman Institute, to discuss current events in Israel. Together, we will explore important topics in Israeli current events and draw connections between those events and broader trends in Israeli history, politics, and culture. Themes will include Israel-Diaspora relations, the possibilities of Jewish democracy, and conversations about Israel and the Jewish future. Participants will read articles and/or listen to podcasts from various sources in advance of classes and will discuss those articles/podcasts in class. Join us for a community Simchat Torah celebration with Temple Beth Sholom and B’nai Torah Metrowest. At 6:30 young families will make caramel apples and enjoy crafts and godly play. At 7pm there will be a service featuring Hakafot and the honoring of community leaders. The evening will end with a whiskey and chocolate schmooze at 7:45pm.
