RSVP to programming@congregationoratid.org appreciated but not required.
Join us in person at Or Atid or on Zoom to sing some of our favorite Yiddish songs! No Yiddish knowledge or singing experience required. Led by Levyosn ("Leviathan") members Adah Hetko and Kaia Berman, who love to share their passions for Yiddish song and klezmer music, and sing in the community.
This is our second year of Yiddish Cultural Exploration, cosponsored by Temple Emanu-El of Haverhill and Congregation Or Atid of Wayland. Please consider making a donation to offset the costs of presenting these wonderful programs; you can donate online at the following link: https://donorbox.org/yiddishculturalexploration.

4 Thursdays starting April 27 at 7:30 on Zoom
Dirshuni, edited by Tamar Biala, is a groundbreaking collection of original midrashim written by contemporary Israeli women. Based on classic biblical and rabbinic narratives, it creates a place for contemporary women to see themselves in the sacred texts.
Women writers, from all denominations, political stripes and ethnic backgrounds offer new takes on traditional stories. Their commentaries provide us a glimpse into what the beit midrash (study hall) of old could have sounded like had it included women's voices.
This year the entire collection has been translated into English and published. We are excited to explore a sampling of these texts together. No knowledge of Hebrew necessary--all welcome!

Join Rabbi Polisson at our monthly, free, drop-in playgroup for children ages 0-4. Celebrate Lag B'Omer, Shavuot and Cinco de Mayo! There will be Cinco de Mayo-themed blintzes as well as coffee, juice, and cookies.
Meet local parents while the kids enjoy the playground, hear a story, sing with the rabbi, and engage in an age-appropriate sensory craft/activity. Playgroups will take place outdoors, weather permitting, or indoors with masks and air purifiers.
