Tu BiShvat coincides with MLK Day this year, an opportunity to recognize the need for environmental justice - improving and maintaining a clean and healthful environment, especially for those who have traditionally lived, worked and played closest to the sources of pollution.
The RDE team invites you to view a moving and thought provoking documentary Come Hell or High Water: The Battle for Turkey Creek. Turkey Creek residents are descendants of former slaves who settled on the Gulf Coast in the 1860s. They have been stewards of the creek's rich wetland habitat for generations. Now, developers have set their sights on this prime real estate.
