Additional High Holiday Service Options for Children, Teens and Adults

Young Family Programs, ages 7+ and younger
 

These activities are geared towards ages 4-7, though younger children can certainly attend and participate.  All art materials will be provided in advance in the kids bags regardless of age. Please contact Jillian to receive a bag if you did not already pick one up. *2nd graders are welcome to join these as well as the “older” children’s services.

Yom Kippur: Monday September 28
9am-9:30am: (Virtual) Yom Kippur Storytime and Conversation

Led by Or Atid member and Art Educator Jillian Gruentzig.

Children’s High Holiday Programs, Ages 8-12

Teen High Holiday Programs, Grades 8-12
 

Teens are always encouraged to participate in the main services, including listening to the Rabbi’s sermons.  These teen programs are supplementary with intention of building our high school connections, identity and community.
 

Yom Kippur: Monday September 28
11:30am-12:30pm (Virtual)  Justice in Action. 

Yom Kippur is not only a day of fasting and forgiveness but also a day of recommitting to social justice.  Join us for this panel of inspiring activists for a discussion on how we can combat racism, anti -Semitism, and fight for justice on many other important, pressing issues.

5pm-5:30pm (Virtual)  Jonah and the Whale: An interactive telling of the story of Jonah. 

Join Rabbi Polisson and friends for a family-friendly telling of Jonah, the Haftarah for Yom Kippur. Or Atid members will help read and act out this story about forgiveness and self-improvement.  Email Rabbi Polisson to secure your part!
